ABOUT

Kyle Barrett found Treeline Design while living in a small, round cabin on the edge of the forest on a knoll in Tunbridge, VT.

Kyle earned a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Ball State University. Design education and subsequent work experience provided him knowledge of ecological design and planning methods, hands-on site work and construction aptitude, and a familiarity with plants and materials people need to establish beautiful and sustainable land.

During his education, Kyle was drawn to respond to the degrading integrity of the American food system and agriculture landscape. His research led him into sustainable food systems planning to investigate ways cities could plan for food security though agricultural initiatives.

Kyle has lived amongst the woods and waters of Orange County, VT, since 2015, when drawn to work at Cedar Circle Farm, where he was introduced to food production methods, soil stewardship and permaculture knowledge.

Kyle is a firekeeper and holds fire ceremony in alignment with the lunar year and other markings of life. He has taught yoga and meditation, and recently taken to Shaolin Qi Gong. He likes drawing, dancing, drumming, eating the garden bounty, swimming and paddling in local lakes and rivers, and spending time with animal and human beloveds.
