Kyle Barrett founded Treeline Design in 2017, while living in a small, round cabin, on the edge of the forest, on a knoll in Tunbridge, Vermont.​

Kyle earned a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Ball State University, where he studied planting design and sustainable food systems planning, investigating methods for greater food security though agricultural initiatives. Subsequent work experience provided him knowledge of farming and orchard management, site work and construction, and a familiarity with plants and materials needed to establish beautiful and sustainable lands.

He now enjoys most of his time caring for fruit trees.​​
